Engineering Field Team Leader (Permanent)

Acorn Recruitment is searching for field based Engineering Team Leader to manage a team of field based engineers based in London and Birmingham working for our client, a specialised lift control and remote monitoring equipment company.

The purpose of the role is to manage installation, commission, service and repair of lift monitoring equipment on customer sites.

Duties will include:

Identifying and problem solving issues on customer sites.

Overseeing the team with regards to installation issues, lift going out of service, site access, correct levels of stock.

Identify installation improvements and implement changes.

Identify product improvements and feedback ideas the R&D team.

Carry out site health and safety including safety harness inspections.

Carry out spot checks on installations to ensure quality standards are met.

Attend customer pre-start meetings and site visit when necessary.

Organise and manage project work including sub contractors.

HR duties including attendance checks, staff one to ones and appraisals.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years lift or related industrial engineering experience within a supervisory role. Must be able to read and understand a lift-wiring diagram. Must be able to cope with the physical demands of this role, for example, some motor rooms may be difficult to access i.e ladders, trapdoors therefore must be comfortable working in restricted spaces.

In return, you will receive a salary of £45000 per year + car allowance. Pension, Healthcare, Profit Related Pay and Phone.
