Graphic Designer (Contract)

My client is currently looking for a contractor to come into the business and support a large global project that will be starting in June. This contract will be starting 1st Nov for 3 months.

They are looking for a traditional print based designer at intermediate/senior level.

Responsibilities:
Tidy up PDF's occasionally
Tidy up power point presentations
Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
Marketing
Supporting tenders
Some brand design

Qualification/Training:
While entry is open to non-graduates, preference will be given to those with relevant degrees. A degree in graphic design is advantageous although other art and design subjects will be accepted.

You will need work experience and a portfolio of work to show employers. Employers also expect a good knowledge of design software, such as Quark Xpress, InDesign or Illustrator plus photo-editing software, such as PhotoShop.

Experience with brand design would be an advantage but not essential.
