Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience

In recent years they have expanded into Licensed tableware (Monsoon and James Martin), Glassware, Accessories and Cookshop products to offer the full tabletop solution. The Head Office is based in the village of Denby, Derbyshire close to the A38/M1 with subsidiaries in North America and South Korea. Their product is available widely through their retail partners, their own Retail stores, websites and a number of distributor websites.

The eCommerce Assistant will support the eCommerce Manager to administer, merchandise and trade our websites and to support in the maintenance and management of domestic and international marketplaces such as Amazon.

Main Responsibilities:

Web administration and merchandising:

  • Support the eCommerce Manager to administer and merchandise Company's websites with a particular focus on ensuring all existing and new product and pricing information is presented accurately
  • To ensure that Product Listing and Product Description pages use the right product assets and where out of stocks are highlighted work with internal teams to understand when stock will be made available again
  • To ensure products are accurately tagged into their collections, categories & brands
  • To work with the brand team to collect and collate all imagery, content and information relating to categories, ranges and products
  • To support the build of new page templates across a number of content and commerce areas

Optimisation of cross sell and upsell opportunities:

  • To work with eCommerce manager on CRO tactics - using onsite metrics, user experience research and AB testing to optimise content and commerce throughout the site
  • To analyse product pricing vs the competitors on an ongoing basis

Development and Support:

  • To assist the team in the management and prioritisation of development and support tickets with our technical agency and software providers
  • Release testing of new website upgrades and enhancements

Customer service and Warehouse liaison:

  • To be the first port of call in handling customer service and warehouse queries and to escalate to internal teams where needs be
  • Marketplace support - secondary channels such as Amazon, Tesco Clubcard, eBay Manage, expand and optimise sales on existing marketplaces
  • Collaborate with commercial team to perfect and optimise ranging and promotions Work collaboratively to support digital marketing activity with marketplaces i.e campaigns, PPC and media
  • With a data driven approach, work to optimise product listings to the highest standard, ensuring relevant content is optimised for marketplace visibility and sales
  • Manage all aspects of marketplace reputation including customer feedback and product and seller ratings
  • Planning and updating pricing and product data structures across product types including analysis of price lists and competitor comparison
  • Utilise current reporting functionality to deliver marketplaces insight and recommendations to the wider business Help with the identification and assessment of new marketplace opportunities

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • 2 years eCommerce experience
  • Good knowledge of CMS and eCommerce platforms
  • Good understanding of analytics and conversion rate optimisation techniques
  • Prior experience of working with marketplaces
  • IT literate in Microsoft Word and Excel (Must love spreadsheets), Photoshop
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Fantastic organisational skills and enjoy working collaboratively across many functions
