Due to continuing business success and growth we now have two fantastic opportunities available for 2 Factory Operatives on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Shift Manager, this position will be part of a supportive team and to be successful, the incumbent must strive to be part of a positive thinking culture, embrace change and help others.  Training will be provided for those who do not have the qualifications.

Factory Operative Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Senior Operative and supervisor in order to manage a line team to planned volumes, packaging of the product into trays and palletising for dispatch efficiently and safely.
  • Ensuring that product safety is not compromised as a result of poor hygiene by adhering to site cleaning schedules and following the clean as you go policy.
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times including near miss reporting
  • Maintain and continually improve product quality, legality and food safety to meet and exceed the standards set by the company and its customers.

The ideal Factory Operative:

To be successful for this position, you must have:

  • Team player with good communication skill
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative whilst focusing on safety at all times
  • Have the potential to be a multi skilled operative with the aptitude for secondary roles such as Fork lift driving, Quality control, Product preparation and co co-ordinating the production lines

Ideally have:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety Manufacturing
  • Numeracy and Literacy as appropriate for role
  • Basic PC skills
  • Previous Manufacturing experience in a similar role preferred.
