Multi-skilled Production Engineer

Location: Newton Abbot

Salary: £33,306

This is a temporary assignment for approximately 3 months - it could be extended and could become a permanent vacancy.

Operating from 4 dairies and 2 logistics sites in rural Somerset and Devon, they employ over 1700 employees and produce more than 22% of the UK's yogurt.

Acorn is looking for a Multi Skilled Production Engineer on behalf of Yeo Valley Newton Abbot with an Electrical bias to join their Engineering team at the Newton Abbot site where they produce desserts and ice cream.

To carry out:

• Planned preventative maintenance activities as scheduled.
• Effective reactionary engineering response to plant and equipment breakdowns.
• Involvement in projects as required, including the introduction of new plant and equipment.

What you'll need to display:

• Ability to influence at all levels.
• PLC knowledge.
• Experience of FMCG, Manufacturing or Production environment.
• Great communication.
• Experience of working shifts.
• Proven diagnostic experience.
• Ability to lead and work as part of a dynamic, fast paced environment.

This role follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 12 hour shifts, days (usually 6am to 6pm) and occasional nights (usually one set of 4 nights every 6 weeks 6pm-6am).
