Installation & Electrical Technician (Contract)

Defence Information requires a Systems Installation/Electrical Technician to support a number of its IT programmes at Christchurch and at its customer sites.

The successful technician will be directed by the Lead Installation Engineer and should have the following set of skills;

Essential

• A strong structured cabling background
• Familiar with the installation and termination of all types of copper cables
• Familiar with the installation and termination of Single Mode and Multi-Mode Fibre
• Familiar with the installation of containment solutions
• Experienced with the setting up, use and interpretation of the results from a Fluke tester
• An excellent understanding of health and safety practice preferably with either CSCS or ECS
• A full driving licence
• The ability to demonstrate good trouble shooting skills
• Able to work as either part of a team or independently
• Good customer facing skills

• 17th/18th edition C&G 2390
• Pat Testing C&G 2377
• CAD
• Working knowledge of JSP608
