ENERCON Services are recruiting an In-House Electrical Technician

Location – Huntingdon, PE19 6XU

ENERCON is one of the markets leader’s in the wind energy industry. Represented in 36 countries, we

provide the production, construction and maintenance of wind turbines. 

As an In-House Electrical Technician, you will be office based, dealing with incoming phone calls from technicians, suppliers, customers and rectification of electrical problems that may arise. You will coordinate the material order flow and liaise with warehouse personnel to ensure an adequate and constant supply of stock and parts.

You will be expected to travel around the UK to supervise & assist with any electrical issues with the turbines, so flexibility is essential. You will be required to work weekends on a rota basis. 

In-House Electrical Technician Responsibilities – 

• Be the first point of contact for all Electrical queries within the UK

• Liaise with 2nd Level support in Germany for technical solutions

• Check and process technical notifications raised by Service Technicians

• Support H&S with new documentation and the checking of the RAMS system

• Provide technical support for engineers and customers

• Liaise effectively with the service dispatch coordinators to ensure that all maintenance work is completed and technicians have the necessary means to correct and maintain all aspects of the WEC

• Overseeing electrical,  updates and retrofits in the UK

• Ensure that reports from the turbines are accurate to the maintenance schedules and update and maintain the ESC Reports database where necessary

• Coordinate the material order flow and liaise with warehouse personnel to ensure an adequate and constant supply of stock and parts

• Look for persistent faults / issues with the WEC’s trying to identify trends and then report these back to your supervisor and assist in the long term rectification of these faults

• Working with other departments and technicians to create snagging lists for the WEC’s

• When and where necessary, travel to WEC sites throughout the UK, Germany and possibly elsewhere in Europe.

In-House Electrical Technician Skills and requirements - 

• Level 3 Electrical qualifications; ideally you will be a time served apprentice 

• Ideally an Engineering degree or similar

• Must be computer literate 

• Highly health and Safety conscious.

• Experience with maintenance schedules.

• A full (clean) driving license is essential

• Excellent health and fitness levels are essential for this role.

• Must be good with heights

• A team player, flexible and resourceful individual is required for our teams.

A proactive, motivated, resourceful, team player is needed in this challenging and exciting position. Ability to stick to deadlines and finish work to the highest standard is required.
