Information Compliance Officer

This could be the position for you!

Based in bustling central London, this nationwide charity is looking for an information compliance officer for their head office.
The salary for this role is £34,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:
*You will work autonomously and be in control of how your day is scheduled. Reporting to the chief of staff and communicating with internal stakeholders, you are empowered to introduce new policies, processes and behaviours to maintain full compliance
*Conduct annual database and records audits
*Ensure data is kept up-to-date on all systems and develop and embed processes to ensure this happens effectively
*You will develop a robust information management policy alongside the senior management team and other key internal stakeholders
*Act as Data Protection Officer for the organisation in line with Articles 37 and 38 of the GDPR (for completeness, the check-and-balance mechanism will be exercised conjointly with the Director of Governance)
*Ensure ongoing compliance with information law, and developing and maintaining the compliance programme
*Develop plans for, and manage work towards, accreditation through relevant codes of conduct and standards schemes
*Responsibility for overall records management and the Fund's information architecture
*Determine performance metrics and manage ongoing strategic and operational plans to improve and update the organisation's information management environment, including working towards a "paper-light" system
*Responsibility for knowledge sharing programme which ensures vital knowledge of systems, processes and information assets is recorded and maintained effectively, supports coordinated working, and improves the way we work
*Determine performance metrics and develop ongoing strategic plans to ensure the organisation complies with all relevant information, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
*Ensure that the organisation's information management and asset control are legal, secure and compliant with relevant legislation, industry best practise standards and internal governance procedures

Requirements:
*Significant experience managing and/or directing information management
*Experience of successfully transforming and managing significant information management projects and services in a large organisation, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
*In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations that relate to information and data management
*Experience of process mapping and systems development
