Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: £35-50k + benefits (UNLIMITED HOLIDAY, private healthcare, private pension, partial flexi working, at least 3 days a week in the office).

I've got a Senior Infrastructure Engineer role available at a rapidly expanding tech business in Taunton. New client demand after the appointment of a dynamic sales director has driven this recruitment.

They are a fully integrated MSP & hosting company that not only build, but automate and manage their client's cloud services, including for several UK automotive giants.

Complete with a friendly office dog (Tilly) they have recently moved to new premises with plans to renovate it to create a google esc environment this month, making it the perfect setting for a modern tech team.

As senior Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining mission critical Infrastructure. A range of skills is essential especially with virtualised technologies such as VMware across set up, implementation and support and Cisco networking.

The company is looking to embrace DevOps practice and technologies, therefore any previous scripting particularly in PHP would be advantageous. In addition to this the company is embracing Automation and Containerisation tools such as Ansible and Docker, experience in this or with similar tools is preferable. However, if you do not have this as for the right candidate the company will provide training.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior level Infrastructure Engineer, or an ambitious mid-level engineer looking to step up, to shape the direction of an Infrastructure department.

Key Skills Required:

• Excellent Windows and Linux skills.
• Good skills in Virtualisation across set up, implementation and maintenance, ideally VMware.
• Opensource experience (Apache, PHP).
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Cisco Networking experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge / experience with DevOps / CI tools and practices e.g. Ansible, Docker.
• Good skills with cloud services e.g. Azure, AWS, Office 365.
• Infrastructure as code skills e.g. Terraform.
