As the in-house PR & Communications Manager you will be the first point of call for all media relations and you will
be responsible for championing all three club brands internally and externally to maintain and develop their reputation as
leaders in their respective fields. Your inter-personal skills will be excellent and this will be a vital element of the role
to ensure not only development of relationships with media reps but also to be able to communicate with internal
stakeholders.

The post requires for the individual to support all other departments, as and when required. In doing so, it will help
raise the profile for all three areas of the Rugby club, thus delivering the desired messaging and reinforcing the Club
reputation as an inclusive and forward-thinking organisation.

Duties:

Planning and creating regular website content, both in written form and working with the club marketing team
to create video assets.
Match day previews, reports and post-match reaction for all games
Work with the Clubs Marketing Team to devise impactful communications plans for events and key dates in the
season
Reacting to press enquiries
Working as part of an integrated social media strategy to build the channels' following and engagement rates
Proactively seeking opportunities to raise the profiles of the three areas
Demonstrate best working practices in all duties and comply with company manuals
Advising players on media responsibilities
Working closely with the club's marketing department and partnership teams to maximise ticket sales and drive
commercial outcomes

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL
REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS: English Degree level in Journalism, English, Media, Marketing, Communications or similar

EXPERIENCE At least 5 years' experience within
communications/marketing role ideally within a sporting environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Excellent understanding of what makes a good story and having a proven record of building relationships in the media space
Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
Full understanding of media needs and media relationships

Knowledge Rugby and UK based Rugby clubs
Basic image editing and graphics skills
(photoshop, illustrator)

SOFTWARE:
Photoshop, Illustrator, Dotmailer (or any email marketing platform) any experience with website CMS systems like WordPress would be desirable but not mandatory.PERSONAL QUALITIES
