Morson International is currently working with a key client in the Nuclear Sector who have a urgent requirement for two (2) C&I Site Based Engineers to carry out physical asset surveys in an industrial environment. These are contract positions and will be based at the Culham Science Centre, Oxfordshire. They are offered with a competitive hourly rate for an initial 6 month period.

Previous experience required:

  • Hands on experience of physically identifying asset systems and various asset types in hazardous low temp / High voltage/ Radioactive environment
  • Hands on experience/ exposure in surveying the following types of assets and verify using CAD drawings
  • Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation (Sensors, Pilot lines, Piping and measurement devices) assets/ systems
  • Mechanical, Hydraulics, Cryogenic asset / systems
  • Heating, ventilation and Gas handling asset
  • Pressure vessels, steam boilers and associated pipework, pressurised hot-water boilers, air compressors, air receivers and associated pipework, autoclaves, gas (eg LPG) storage tanks and chemical reaction vessels.
  • Heating systems, ventilation and piping systems
  • Hands on experience of developing RAMS statement, conducting job risk assessment and reporting anomalies at work place
  • Experience of performing operations route inspections at Industrial sites; working in confined spaces and identifying industrial hazards
  • Hands on experience of capturing, describing asset condition and likely failure modes of asset systems and assets during asset survey
  • Hands on experience of capturing the asset discrepancies between the drawing and as built systems
  • Able to capture asset name plate from site and compare with asset register for a wide range of asset types
  • Experience of supporting data collection for assessment of condition and performance of assets as part of reliability improvement programme
  • Able to create asset hierarchy for surveyed asset and asset systems including exposure to Key Safety related Equipment's K(SRE)
  • Hands on experience of using CAD software to review asset configuration and familiarity in using 3D models for Asset Identification and Asset verification

Person:

  • Valid certification / NVQ Level 5 in related trade
  • Team Player
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Exposure to working in an Industrial environment
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ)
  • Able to collect, collate and manage asset survey data using Microsoft Excel
