Mechanical Engineer (Contract)
We have an opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER based at Aldermaston for an initial 6 month period.
The successful Candidate will support a Periodic Review of Safety but with a reduced scope of operations to align with future facility requirements.
As the production of the FSJ (Facility Safety Justification) has progressed, the claims on the structures, systems and components (SSCs) have developed resulting in an amended list of Specific Safety Functional Requirements (SSFRs).
The SSFR revisions range from wording changes to improve clarity of requirement, removing claims on now redundant SSCs, changes to SSC class, addition of reliability requirements or in a small number of cases new SSFRs.
Candidates must be able to prove competence.
Senior grade/experience.
Nuclear experience
DV cleared if possible
Rates to be agreed based on experience and availability
