FINTEC recruit is seeking a 1st Line IT Support Technician for our engineering client in Southampton. This is a temporary 12 week contract with a view to permanency. The contract/temp rate is £18 per hour. Should the role become permanent, the salary would be up to £23,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- IT helpdesk support based on site
- Supporting maintenance and development of the IT network and with infrastructure improvements
- Fault diagnosis and rectifying routine network system issues
- Monitor security and apply patches and fixes as required
- Ensure compliance with SOX, as per client regs.
Skills and Experience required for the IT Support Technician role:
- Qualified in an IT related subject to NVQ Level 3 or above
- Admin and Network infrastructure experience
- Troubleshooting IT hardware related issues and resolving them
- Understanding of Windows Systems/MS Office and Exchange Server
