Law Costs Draftsman (Permanent)
A well-known Solicitors based in Stoke are looking to appoint a Law Costs Draftsman to join their office based in Hanley.
You would be dealing with a range of areas of law but mainly Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence; it is essential that you have at least 3 years previous experience in drafting bills of costs, points of disputes and replies and in attendance Costs hearings and Costs and Case Management Hearings. Some significant experience with Costs and Case Management is essential for the role and good CPR knowledge is required. The ability to travel round the country for Costs and Case Management Hearings is also essential. As a Costs Draftsman you should be a motivated individual who can work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
Ideally you will have "in house" experience as you are likely to be involved in tasks such as; disbursement debate in fixed fee cases, retainer drafting, ATE insurance decisions and debt recovery decisions, and provision of guidance to fee earners on costs matters.
The salary is dependent on experience.
