Role: Senior electronics engineer
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £40,000 - £40,000
ISL are looking for an electronics design engineer to design, develop and implement innovative electro-mechanical design solutions from initial customer enquiry through to production. Conducting design, development and prototyping of complex electronic systems for specialized secure applications, in line with all applicable legislation and company directives.
Technical Competencies:
Detailed understanding of modern communications and IT equipment and uses in the secure and rugged markets.
Experienced in supporting R&D and NPI initiatives.
Must have good attention to detail, analytical and a problem solver, must be able to produce clear and concise design documentation with a "right first time" approach.
Have a strong understanding of EMC and EMI.
Have experience in providing cost estimates for NRE and product costings supporting technical response documents for bid activities and proposals to customers.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently under minimum supervision.
Experience in working in a regulated industry, understanding data storage criteria and handling sensitive information up to UK Secret
Expert user of modern Electronic, RF and EMC test equipment
