Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Lead Quality Manager for our Polymers team based at our site in Rochester.

Lead Quality Manager Role:

The Lead Quality Manager works at a functional level reporting to the Head of Recycling Assets (Polymers & Paper), providing leadership and support to the function in relation to quality, compliance and systems issues. 

The Lead Quality Manager will lead the Compliance and Systems Manager roles within the function and will facilitate and support the Recycling Assets function in implementing and maintaining compliance requirements and legal obligations through audits and gap analysis and the implementation of Best Practice.

The role will also have matrix management responsibility for the Quality Management teams located at operational sites within the function, ensuring all relevant assets comply with all legislative, statutory and company requirements.

The role will also ensure standardisation of systems across the relevant asset business area; and assist in developing and improving the use of SharePoint, to include the set up and training, where required.

The Lead Quality Manager will lead on the accreditation programmes for laboratory and quality assurance processes including the development of standard testing procedures, quality specifications and developing rigorous procedures for the reporting and management of quality issues.

Our ideal Lead Quality Manager:

  • Successfully demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Experience of development of SharePoint sites
  • Track record of implementing systems and process to support a QMS
  • A knowledge of relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, ISO14001, Quality Systems (UKAS, BSI, ISO etc) and other management systems
  • A good understanding of Compliance
  • Good communication, negotiation, influencing and coaching skills
  • Sound knowledge of computer-based management systems and their operation
