A Senior Software Software Engineer role is open for applications. It is for an international aerospace company for 6 months which is likely to be extended. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be providing support to Software Engineers and ensuring everything is designed, developed and integrated and tested in accordance with the companies' high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Make technical design decisions within the context of known practices, established precedents and acquired "technical" expertise
- Make sure all equipment is designed, developed, integrated and tested in accordance with the companies standards
- The cost/benefit trade-offs of design options are understood, enabling appropriate judgement calls to be made
- Software development plans are to be estimated in detail, and resource requirements will be allocated against plans
Skills/ Experience:
- Have SC clearance/ be SC clearable
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- C# and .NET development using the Visual Studio IDE
- Proficient in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Working knowledge of legacy and current .NET frameworks and associated components
- Experience working in a lead role
- Experience of software implementation using data or voice network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, VOIP) is desirable but no essential. Experience of SCM is also desirable
Benefits:
- £450-550 per day
- Core working hours 8am-5pm on 37 hour flexi work week
