Senior Costs Paralegal (Permanent)
A National Law firm is seeking to recruit a Senior Costs Paralegal within their Costs team in Leeds. Their Costs team provides expert direction in relation to all costs matters ranging from recovery through to negotiation, points of dispute, provisional assessments and detailed assessment hearings.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a caseload of primarily litigation insurance costs work which will be a mix of RTA, EL/PL and Disease cases to include the preparation of bills of costs, preparing points of dispute, costs budgets and negotiations. Advocacy experience and ACL membership would be an advantage but aren't necessary.
The main responsibilities would be:
* To provide excellent client service to internal and external clients
* Use the case management system
* Utilise negotiation and communication skills to proactively settle/assist in the settlement of cases.
* Analyse risk and utilise commercial knowledge
* Prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service levels are maintained.
* To work against financial targets and monitor your own performance
* Understand the role in the context of the practice group and proactively seek to increase contribution.
