We are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor to work for the Public Sector in Exeter.

Hours of work will be 9am - 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Start date is 29th of April 2019.

Pay rate: £10.54 p/h + DOE.

The post is on a temporary basis until 31st of May 2019 but likely to be reviewed on that date.

Working alongside the Customer Service Co-ordinators you will be responsible for the following:

  • To enable members of the public and service users to access and engage with services across Public Realm.
  • To provide an effective response to enquiries received by email, phone, correspondence and personal contact and to promote good practice and a positive customer outcome.
  • To assist in the maintenance of records including (but not exclusively) interments, assets, allotment sites, tenancy/ licence details, waiting lists, vessel movements, arboricultural assets and GIS asset data.
  • To maintain records and data collection and prepare reports for service managers regarding service demand and response.
  • To invoice customers and order equipment and supplies as required, monitor the debtor system and coordinate action for debt recovery.
  • To attend site meetings where required.
  • To assist in the development, review and maintenance of the full range of administrative systems.

Skills you will need:

  • Experience of providing a frontline customer support services.
  • Experience of supporting customers to make applications, financial transactions etc.
  • Experience of resolving customer enquiries and delivering positive customer outcomes.
  • Experience of maintaining records and reporting data.
  • Experience of financial systems, purchasing, invoicing and debt recovery.
  • Ability to use a range of office software to administer transnational services.
  • Experience of (or the ability to be trained to have) sufficient knowledge of arboriculture to identify trees by description and be aware of their basic growth habits.
  • "Can do" attitude and a problem solving approach.
