Programme Manager required for a 6 month contract in the Bedfordshire area for an aerospace client to manage and support assigned programmes, as directed, ensuring that customer needs are met within the programme commercial parameters and business goals, with the support of the Programme team.

Responsibilities:
Be a key focal point for several aspects of the programme including technical and commercial issues, ensuring satisfactory resolution where required.
Development of strong customer relationships and networks within customer organisations. Working across functions throughout the company to support the delivery of programs to ensure customer needs, requirements and deadlines are achieved within budget.
Reviews program proposal and ensure the appropriate plans are in place for accomplishing the project including reviewing resource allocation, reporting of any issues and resolving or escalating those issues as appropriate.
Manage the program through the key life cycle phases including internal review phases and attending internal and customer review meetings as necessary.
Lead / support internal and external programme reviews as necessary.
Track performance of programmes through the use of metrics and report/present to both internal management and external customer, as required.
Track financial performance of program looking for opportunities to improve gross margin.
Program change management, generating quotations as necessary and implementing change.
Resolving program issues to customer and the client's satisfaction.
Ensuring that the program is invoiced at point of delivery.
Ensure compliance with all Programme related customer contractual commitments
Execute allocated Key Business Objectives in timely manner.
Aid in the development of strong program management process utilising robust tools and techniques.
Establish and implement continuous process improvement initiatives
Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the team and the business to enhance company processes
Perform other duties that are required by departmental procedures.
Departmental procedure development, championing, implementation as allocated.
Ad hoc initiatives as allocated.

Skills:
Experience in customer facing role
Sound product Knowledge
Proactive approach to problem resolution
Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
A high degree of flexibility in a continuously changing environment
Analytical / numerate
MS Office suite, including Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Strong Programme Management Skills
Strong leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills.
Commercial understanding and business acumen in Aerospace industry
