Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking a AP, Inventory & GA Lead for a minimum 6 month contract opportunity based in Aberdeen. This is for an immediate start.

Accountabilities

The role provides a comprehensive business analysis service and is responsible for the management of G&A accounting, the annual G&A Plan preparation, the compilation of the quarterly G&A reforecasts and supporting functional departments (HSE/TS and Logistics) with their Business Finance needs. A key deliverable is financial interpretation of the Plan / Reforecast outturn, highlighting to management any necessary corrective action to ensure planned financial objectives are met.

Responsible for the maintenance of the clients UK's UK Financial Authority Listing, ensuring timely and accurate updates, thereby preserving the integrity of the financial authority delegations.
The role also manages Accenture's performance in relation to Accounts Payable, Intercompany, Contract Compliance and Business Expenses within the terms of the SLA.

Key Duties

Assist in the training / education of PREs (Persons Responsible for Expenditure) and CCCs (Cost Centre Controllers), gaining assurance that they fully understand their roles and responsibilities
Manage the development of the annual audit programme of the clients UK's operated activities and the annual G&A audit. Work closely with the Finance Business Analysts to ensure all joint venture audits of the clients UK operated activities are managed effectively ensuring there are no significant monetary findings
Oversee the accounting for inventory and inter-company transactions
Co-ordinate the compilation and presentation of the internal plan and re-forecasts relating to General and Administration Expenditure. Highlight material issues which need to be addressed
Manage the development of the annual audit programme of the clients UK operated activities plus the annual audit of G&A performed by E&Y. Work with the audit co-coordinator to ensure there are no significant commercial or financial issues which needs to be addressed
To monitor and control the performance of Accenture, specifically, Accounts Payable, Intercompany, Contract Compliance and Business Expenses
Maintain UK Financial Authority Listing
Ensure accurate inventory accounting and inter-company accounting
Ensure all Internal Control requirements are met within areas of responsibility
Develop a training schedule to ensure all current and future PREs are fully conversant with the clients financial systems and procedures. This will include issuing regular updates to the Key Process Guide
Support HSE/TS and Logistics with business analysis and management reporting (timewriting, reporting, forecasting, service level agreements)

Education Attainment & Accreditation

Qualified accountant or equivalent

Professional Skills & Experience

Sound business background.
Experience in a similar role preferably within an operating environment
