Role : Sales Executive (Trainee or Exec)

Client:

Our client is a global provider of aircraft component services. They now require a Sales Executive on a permanent basis.

Purpose of the Job:

Work as part of a team with responsibility for delivering sales targets through delivery of timely and competitive quotes to ad-hoc customers. Be responsible for key operational processes within the Customer Services department. These processes include core recovery, invoicing, contact management and closure of third-party exchanges. Provide excellent customer service with reference to applicable General Terms Agreements and Exchange agreements. Combine with an appreciation of credit risk, margin calculation and understanding of commission structures.

This is a dynamic role and further responsibilities may be added to support Sales activity in the future in negotiation with the role holder. This position is vital to the achievement of company revenue, improve stock availability and differentiated customer service objectives. The holder of the position will be required to take responsibility for a variety of processes and to work, with support, toward identifying any opportunities to make those processes more efficient to administer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Demonstrate team-working skills including flexibility to move between tasks as prioritised by the team leader
* Understand the individual contribution required in order to produce outstanding results for the group as a whole
* Make best use of company systems and tools to source and price material competitively, Research and offer logistical solutions and alternate MPN's as applicable
* Identify cores, resolve quarantine or trace issues and close third-party exchanges through negotiation with suppliers
* Take responsibility for assisting in the identification and acceptance of core components as requested
* Provide assistance in ensuring payment for services provided
* Monitor and ensure satisfactory organisational response to any customer query received including escalation as required and regular feedback
* Positively engage with Continuous Improvement activity including communication of ideas for improvement to team leader and management
* Use, with support and guidance, Quality systems to understand any process failures and work constructively with others to identify root causes and address them
* Help facilitate any data collection or activity required to implement change in a structured process
* Proactively communicate with internal and external customers to meet targets
* Maintain positive and professional relationships
* Production and maintenance of relevant reports as requested by team leader and management
* All transactional related data to be updated in Quantum
* Request exchange core details at the time of quotation
* Create Sale Orders and Purchase Orders in Quantum in a timely manner

* Ability to build rapport easily, puts the customer first and works hard to meet customer needs
* Flexible in moving between tasks and focused on organisational priorities and high level of attention to detail
* Shows commitment to task
* Ability to sustain and develop relationships with a range of external ad-hoc and contracted customers
* Recognises key organisational challenges and enhances development of a 'one company' perspective through active promotion of co-ordination between internal departments
* Develop commercial acumen developed through experience in sales
* Ideally candidates will have experience within aerospace sector
