Home Service Technician (Temporary)

Job Purpose
To provide a safe and efficient installation, replenishment, service and removal of home oxygen therapy equipment to patients in their homes, on time and in full.
To maintain a 24/7 cover period for service. Outside of normal working hours are subject to an "On Call" rota.
This role requires undertaking of repetitive, heavy lifting tasks.

Due to working with vulnerable people, a fully enhanced DBS is required prior to commencement of this post.

Major Responsibilities
1. Ensure all jobs are planned and completed on time in accordance with service level agreements/KPIs
2. Use PC based reporting / delivery tools and satnav equipment
3. Flexible approach to workload as circumstances alter
4. Problem-solve and work without close supervision
5. Install and set up equipment in people's homes
6. Assess the best / safest route when installing equipment
7. Correct use of provided manual handling equipment and tools to install and remove equipment
8. Maintain the reputation of the company with Patients, Healthcare Professionals and the Public

Financial
1. Good geographical knowledge of region with an aim to reduce carbon footprint / reduce fuel costs
2. Utilise route selection principles to ensure workload completed within most time-efficient manner.
3. To promote a safe driving culture to actively reduce AIM's (Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses)
4. Participate in continuous improvement by way of suggesting new ideas and opportunities to reduce the overall cost of service provision without compromising quality of service provision
