We are currently looking for a refugee employment caseworker to help refugees into employment in the UK. This life changing person will take a holistic approach to helping a displaced person to build a new life. Please see below the list of requirements and responsibilities. This role pays between £24,000 and £28,000 depending on experience

This role will take full ownership of the process. For example, there is no self-employment specialist in this team, meaning to be the right candidate you must be flexible and able to commit to learning yourself. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from your colleagues and develop into a well rounded caseworker and also means you get to see your clients through their entire journey - an incredibly rewarding experience.

Requirements:
- Working with unemployed adults from diverse backgrounds
- Working with refugees (favourable)
- Multilingual, especially Arabic speaking
- Experience managing a caseload
- Language barrier experience
- Working in a target driven environment
- Demonstrable commitment to the principles and practice of equal opportunities
- Experience delivering training and upskilling people to get them into employment

Knowledge:
- Barriers to employment faced by economically inactive adults
- Barriers faced by refugees in multiple aspects of their lives
- UK benefits system including housing, tax credits and universal credit.
- knowledge of the London labour market including growth sectors and employer needs

Desirable Qualifications:
- NVQ L4 in Information, Advice or Guidance (or 2 years experience in a similar role)
- Any professional qualification in Employment, training, adult learning, teaching or career development
- Enhanced BDS on the update service (if you are not on the update service, the company will pay for your check, it may just be slightly longer before you can start)

Responsibilities:
-To engage with target groups and register people into employment programmes through community organisations and job centres
- Act as the single point of contact for refugees seeking employment
- Act with complete respect and confidentiality with highly sensitive information and keep accurate records on the internal system
- To manager a caseload of participants with a holistic approach including wellbeing support and confidence building
- Help participants to produce SMART plans with clear goals to hep them succeed
- Delivering group workshops
- To provide aftercare and ongoing support for up to 26 weeks after they have started work
- Assist the delivery of the refugee employment programme in any reasonable way, supporting your colleagues in their work as they support you

What else you should know:
- This role includes an enhanced DBS check - this will be paid for by the company
- You will be based in the main office for 1-2 days a week, the rest of your time will be spent travelling around other offices and sites in London
