Job Title: Ad Operations Executive

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday

Job Role:

  • Ensuring the company's clients, both existing and new, enjoy a measurement set up which fully meets their business requirements and above all, is accurate
  • The aim of the role is to support clients and channel teams with all aspects of technical onboarding for new clients
  • The role will also involve supporting existing clients, ensuring a consistent and 'best practice' approach to tracking is delivered by the company to all their clients

What you'll be doing?

New clients

  • Attend internal client sales handover meeting, to gain a full understanding of client expectations for the work/strategy they will work to deliver
  • Work with the client to clarify key reporting metrics important to the measurement of success
  • Liaise with the respective channel teams to map all tagging/tracking requirements (conversions, audience, custom variables, etc.), producing relevant documentation for these requirements
  • Set up clients on any required technology, e.g. creating Advertisers within Google's Search Ads 360, and ensuring set up and access meet with the specified requirements
  • Aid in the delivery of the measurement onboarding process which currently includes, but is not limited to, the audit of Analytics platforms and Tag Management Solution containers. Production of reports on the suitability of the set up compared to the requirements and recommendations for any remedial work required
  • Liaise at all times with the relevant client contact to ensure 100% clarity on what work is required during the onboarding/implementation process
  • Review, or implement, and test client's implementation of recommended changes to tracking set up, ensuring they meet the requirement
  • Ensure the final set up is fully tested accurate and working correctly before final sign off

Existing clients

  • Provide support for the existing channel teams, helping identify and troubleshoot any tracking or tagging issues they may be experiencing
  • Working with the Head of Analytics, establish best practice working process ensuring that their clients enjoy a consistent and industry-leading approach to tracking & measurement set up
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and updates regarding tracking, working with the Head of Analytics to:
    • Agree their response to any changes
    • Coordinate and deliver any work on client accounts required as a result
    • Update working practices to reflect the changes and ensure they are reflected in the on-going working process
  • Develop the capacity to deliver Ad Ops functions through the Network, including developing appropriate task templates and helping to recruit and train staffs as required

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Competent in the use of Google Tag Manager (and/or other Tag Management Solutions)
  • The ability to project manage, either through specific training or through gained experience
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and ad-serving solutions is desirable but not compulsory
  • Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
  • The ability to talk about, and translate complex technical issues to internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics preferable
  • Passionate about operational processes and customer service
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and/or Google Sheets

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there's flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
