Acorn is seeking Brewing Operators on behalf of our Samlesbury based client.

Primary purpose and function of position:

To undertake daily / weekly / monthly activities in order for the Brewing Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.

Key tasks: responsibilities:

The job requires the consistent execution of routine tasks (daily / weekly / monthly) within agreed ways of working. Must be able to work to agreed timescales. Working as part of a team and ensure you are working with attention to details. You will be responsible for operation of automated process control equipment. The role will involve quality control actives. Light manual activates will need to be carried out.

The role will involve working around wide departmental area.

Key tasks: accountability:

  • Comply with all statutory and legal requirements.
  • Comply with all safety, health and environment requirements.
  • Comply with any appropriate production or food hygiene safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation, such as HACCP.
  • Comply with all product and process quality requirements.
  • Comply with all housekeeping, cleaning and 5S requirements.
  • Comply with basic asset care requirements.
  • Operate filtration and area equipment in order to deliver OTIF (On time in full) (quality & volume) bulk beer to the logistics and packaging departments while maintaining world class production benchmarking cost.
  • Undertake activities to ensure the department meets all of its KPI Targets.
  • Undertake training for new skills & tasks within the filtration department as requested by the First Line Manager.
  • Undertake any reasonable production related tasks, as directed by the First Line Manager.
  • Attend meetings and briefings as necessary.
  • Comply with all documentation and transaction requirements.
  • Ensure that all internal and external customer requirements are met.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • Standard grades or equivalent preferable, but not required.
  • Production environment experience an advantage.
  • All operational training to be able to do the role is provided.
  • FLT License is beneficial.

Hours will include working 12 hour shifts days and nights, which will involve weekend work.

Pay is £8.75 per hour to start and can increase to £12.00 per hour.
