Estates Grounds person / Gardener

We are looking to recruit an Estates Grounds person / Gardener to assist in the provision of the highest standards of maintenance of all outdoor sports playing surfaces, school grounds and gardens across a school estate. Reporting to the Estates Head Gardener you will work in a small team of grounds garden staff to ensure the cost effective delivery of services.

Applicants should be suitably experienced and qualified in sports pitch provision and/or general grounds and garden horticulture maintenance, ideally including cricket squares / wicket preparation plus have the ability to work effectively as part of the grounds and gardens team. Full driving licence is essential for this role.l

Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible in terms of working days and hours, which may include evenings and weekend working. A working rota will be agreed by the management team to ensure matches / fixture needs are supported as requirements vary throughout the year.

Wage: circa £17000

The successful applicant will be appointed after an enhanced DBS (criminal record) check, a satisfactory medical report and receipt of two references.
