Ordering Officer : 16835 (Contract)

An opportunity to join an international Aerospace and Defence company as an Ordering Officer for an initial 6 month contract, which is likely to be extended.

As an Ordering Officer in this company, you will be based in the Filton, Bristol office. This role is to ensure allocation and distribution across plants as activity is checking stock in plants and contacting them. Interface role with customers. This is not about a physical moving of stock, but to ensure stock is in place at any given time.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for ensuring speedy allocation & distribution of spare parts across multiple Plants
· Collaborate closely with internal departments
· Manage communication between client Production sites & the customer
· Comment/advise on improvement potential regarding the way of working between customer and your team
· Be responsible and accountable for the definition, implementation and reporting of key projects and/or continuous improvement programmes (within a defined area)
· Understand customer expectations and needs
· Provide status updates to the Head Office team on hot topics and any critical problem areas
· Raise Purchase Orders on external Suppliers
· Support Spares Engineering activities
· Contribute towards a positive and inspiring working environment

Skills:

· Supply Chain working experience
· Basic understanding of aircraft manufacturing
· Basic awareness of Airline and Aircraft maintenance operations
· Standard knowledge in MS office applications
· Basic knowledge of SAP
· Language: Good level of spoken and written English
· Understanding of Lean Fundamentals
· Communication skills essential
· Attention to detail
· Customer mind-set
· Customer serving type role beneficial
