Qualified Social Worker - Looked after Children - No Court - Low caseloads

After receiving a Good OFSTED rating with Outstanding leadership, this South London Local Authority is seeking qualified social workers for its Looked after Children team. The OFSTED rating indicates this is a well-managed authority, less stressful than nearby hectic authorities. As a result of this Outstanding leadership, the caseloads are low, in fact among the lowest in the country, so you're not overwhelmed allowing you to focus on clearing them to high standards of practice.

Additionally, this authority has a dedicated court team, meaning you won't have to do any court work, and won't be staying up late writing lengthy court reports well into your own time.

You will be working with a team of 5 social workers who will share your caseload, and you'll be lead by a non-case holding Team manager who as a result of not holding cases will have time to support you with your casework, and discuss any challenges you're having. The small team size allows for this level of support.

The right candidate can expect:

• Up to £38,354 per annum. plus £1000 Golden Hello and a £1,500 annual retention supplement.

The right candidate must have:

• Extensive post qualified social worker experience
• Looked after children experience
• A current Enhanced DBS and registration with the HCPC.
• ASYE completed
