SAS Analyst (Contract)

An immediate and exciting opportunity has arisen for a SAS Analyst to join our client, a leading financial institution to assist with their on-going delivery of a portfolio of redress & remediation projects.

Key skills & experience required:

• Strong analytical reasoning
• Highly developed analytical skills to extract information from data and translate to business language and financial impacts
• Ability to manage time effectively to ensure delivery of multiple projects
• Data literate with experience of manipulating large data sets via SAS programming
• Degree level education in a numerate discipline
• Ability to coach and manage analysts across levels
• Experience applying analytical techniques to data to produce explanatory or predictive results

Responsibilities for the candidate will include:

• Provides specialist knowledge to increase data quality and availability, and provide analytical inputs in support of business objectives
• Development and maintenance of highly complex analyses to extract business information. Also guide other analysts through their relatively less complex analyses
• Takes initiative in rebuilding and creating analyses shared with business segments through appropriate commentary, validation and interpretation of results.
• Support the business' customer management strategy through providing appropriate insight
• Customer profiling and delivery of analytical solutions designed to improve business and customer outcomes
• Takes the initiative in developing and maintaining a well documented knowledge base while completing analysis, so as to drive team effectiveness and ensure ability to respond to audits
• Delivery and presentation of regular MI and appropriate recommendations across business units and senior management teams to track business performance.
