We are now looking to recruit a Financial Administrator to join our team based in Milton Keynes, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

The Financial Administrator will work under the direction of the Financial Business Partner in providing both support and challenge to the Operational Unit Manager in all financial areas including, but not restricted to, Management Accounting, Forecasting and Budgeting. In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the month end accounting process in line with Viridor business timescales, to produce accurately and timely month end management accounts, incorporating relevant variance analysis.
  • Assisting operational management in production of annual budgets.
  • Drafting customer price reviews based upon input material analyses and in line with customer contract terms and prevailing market indices.
  • Supporting, reviewing and challenging business performance.
  • Developing a good understanding of the key drivers of profitability for the business and apply this knowledge in order to move the business forward.

Our ideal Financial Administrator will have:

  • Knowledge of how a finance function operates.
  • Proven experience within finance
  • Working to legislation, contracts, etc.
  • Experience of business change.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Using Ellipse Financials.
  • AAT 1-3, ICM, Foundation degree or similar/equivalent - desirable
