Portfolio Analyst (Permanent)

Following an exciting acquisition and looking forwards to a period of continued growth ahead, we are hiring an ambitious Portfolio Analyst into a new role to join our Corporate Development and Portfolio Analysis team based at our Head Office in Ewloe (near Chester).

As a Portfolio Analyst, you would describe yourself as the kind of person that:

• Has an analytical nature, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and commercial insight from data
• Enjoys working on significant projects and transactions in a fast-paced environment with exposure to Senior Management
• Has prior experience in a similar role within a corporate environment
• Has a demonstrable analysis and modelling competency with Excel and data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, R
• Is educated to degree level or higher, or equivalent

Previous experience working within the financial services sector or experience of risk modelling would be highly desirable, however we will provide full training to the right individual.

Your New Role

Joining the White Oak UK team as our Portfolio Analyst, you will be working as part of the Corporate Development and Portfolio Analysis Team reporting to the Head of Corporate Development. The individual will provide a wide range of analytical support and insight to underpin the design and execution of the business’s strategic growth ambitions.

In your new role you will:

• Provide key inputs to the development of customer-level credit scoring models to support the risk assessment of our borrowers across all lending products
• Develop and monitor product scorecards to review and improve the effectiveness and performance of our lending strategies and identifying commercial threats and opportunities
• Drive the development of best practice in reporting and visualisation of various portfolio, financial and operational data
• Maintain and improve the Corporate Financial Model
• Assist senior members of the team with the assessment of various ad-hoc investment opportunities such as new partnership and affiliate relationships and loan portfolio acquisitions
