Description:
The candidate will have worked in the simulation industry of aviation and shall possess a good working knowledge of both civil and military Aircraft Systems. Ideally the candidate will have working knowledge of simulating (modern) Airbus aircraft e.g. A350 onwards or A400M to Level C or D simulations. This engineer will be working as part of an Aircraft System team and integrating with a wider project team.
The project is in the Integration & Test phase for a major update. The activities necessary are to support the testing and clearing down any raised discrepancies.
Site working maybe necessary with this role - Duration: 2 weeks (max), Locations: Europe
Essential
- Working knowledge of civil and military Aircraft Systems
- Simulation knowledge (Level C or D simulations)
- C programming
- Integrate Airbus Aircraft System models
- Investigation and resolving discrepancy reports including raising Data Querys
- Good working knowledge for many of the following Aircraft systems:
- Electrics : Electrics, Lighting Circuit Breakers
- Fuel : Fuel, AAR, Inerting
- Landing Gear : Landing Gear and Brakes
- Hydraulics
- Misc : Anti-Ice, Fire, Doors, Smoke
- Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)
- Warning System (CWS)
- Integration and testing
- Analytical knowledge of ARINC 429, AFDX, CAN
Desirable
Knowledge in the following areas is desirable:
- Understand and use of SCADE diagrams
- Avionics relating to Aircraft Systems
- Rehosts
- Cargo Hold & Aerial Delivery System (CHADS)
- DIS interfaces
Additional Security Information Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must hold or be eligible for UK MoD Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
