Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking a Operations Superintendent for a contract role covering Maternity leave.

Position Overview

Responsible for the safe delivery of production targets within budget. Maintains daily contact with the platform. Onshore point contact for the provision of support and technical solutions to production issues.

Accountabilities

Accountable for assuring effective planning and coordination of all IAP activities
Accountable for management of onshore team to optimize plant and process in the pursuit of safe production delivery
Accountable for accurate production loss reporting and management
Effective stewardship of asset's production management system

Key Responsibilities

Engender a culture of continuous HSE performance improvement via transfer of knowledge and sharing of best practice
Demonstrate excellent safety leadership behaviours at all times and ensure all members of the operations team achieve outstanding performance in meeting Company HSE and business targets
Ensuring compliance with Company performance standards
Actively drive the production loss management process and ensure all current losses planned and unplanned, completion of 5 Why's/RCAs
Actively support and promote asset integrity management
Ensure safe operations by supporting platform in the management of operational deviations and risk assessments
Onshore focal point for the offshore operations team
Regular reporting to Operations Manager to ensure awareness of short term plans and operational support issues
Assure effective planning and coordination of all IAP activities to ensure optimal Plan and Schedule Attainment and cost control
Custodian of asset's Production Management System
Responsible for assuring planning gate compliance
Management of onshore team to optimize plant and process
Ensure high level of quality control of Production Loss Management System data input and output
To manage the onshore support team to provide proportionate responses to immediate operational challenges and ensure team is proactive in optimising plant, process and short range plans for the asset
Ensure effective scheduling, coordination and delivery of key asset operations meetings, including: morning calls PLE meetings planning meetings
Management of T&O Register in conjunction with Maintenance Superintendent with emphasis on immediate production threats
Management of onshore Synergi actions including ICP
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis activities to address production loss events and enable production protection and optimisation
Promote a performance mindset within onshore teams to encourage behaviours focused on safe and production efficient working practices
Support effective engagement with regulatory bodies, third parties and matters relating to License to Operate
To act as primary onshore point of contact for Offshore Leadership Team to ensure the onshore support team objectives are aligned with the asset's demands, priorities and targets
Delivering agreed targets to achieve asset KPIs

Education Attainment & Accreditation

Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent, or considerable technical experience in a similar role
Accreditation from relevant professional institution
Mandatory safety, medical regulatory regulations for travel working offshore UKCS

Professional Skills & Experience

Extensive operational experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
Wide ranging technical understanding of offshore hydrocarbon producing facilities
Emergency Response experience desirable
Demonstrates general management skills, drive and performance, delivery focus
Highly computer literate with a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Working understanding of UK offshore legislation including OGA Production Efficiency Guidelines
Fully conversant with all forms of process engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFD's, P&ID's, Data Sheets and Cause Effect charts
Proven operational experience in a COMAH operational site
Proven track record of demonstrating success at delivering against production plans and efficiency targets
Good understanding of cost control and budget planning
Proven capability in measuring, reporting and analysing data to deliver performance improvements
Demonstrable understanding of process safety and MAH prevention.
In depth understanding of production management, production loss elimination and production optimization
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace
