Acorn is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a food manufacturer based in Merthyr Tydfil. Due to expansion, my client is looking to recruit two Engineers to join their Engineering Department. Excellent progression opportunities available for the right candidates.
The role
*Responsible for electrical breakdown of a food processing plant and equipment
*Undertake planned and preventative maintenance activities
*Undertake repairs in a safe and timely manner
*Contribute towards system / process improvements
*Implement current Health and Safety procedures and assist in further development and improvement of maintenance and engineering procedures.
Profile:
*Hold relevant engineering & electrical qualifications or demonstrate equivalent industry experience
*Experience of electrical maintenance within the food processing industry is desirable
*Multi-skilled engineer familiar with servicing and repair of electrical and mechanical systems equipment would be an advantage
*Experience of installation and commissioning projects is desirable
*Be flexible on shift working pattern
*Good written and communication skills
*17th/18th edition wiring regulations
Shifts - 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am 4 on 4 off Monday to Saturday
Salary - £35k pa - negotiable depending on experience
