SENIOR iOS ENGINEER - £70-85K - EC1 LONDON

A relative newcomer to the online dating scene is searching for a seasoned iOS Developer to join their London-based team, to mentor junior developers, and help boost their audience capture to over 1 million users, by 2022.

WHO ARE THEY?

Established in 2017, and growing a small, but incredibly talented, team of multi-functional software developers, you might not have heard of these guys, in amongst the Big Players - Tinder, Bumble, anything involving a 'swipe right'. Why? They've been in stealth mode for the last 2 years, waiting for the chance (and the funding) to enter the common market.

Over the last decade, the rise of mobile and app-based dating has been astronomical. What occasionally passes as 'uninteresting' work, all based around the same basic concept, is actually disguising ever-changing algorithms, the latest technologies, and a drive to come out on top of a hugely competitive market.

Based in stylish new office space in Shoreditch, this role is a hop, skip and a jump away from Old Street Underground, in the heart of one of London's most up and coming neighbourhoods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

- Put your all into crafting clean, testable code for the iOS version of the flagship
application.
- Manage all stages of the iOS development life-cycle, from initial design of updates,
through testing, and delivery.
- Take part in Scrum sessions, suggesting and curating new updates, and turning them from
concept to reality.
- Take an active role in mentoring more junior iOS developers, helping them to build their
skills through a hands-on, Agile approach.
- Work collaboratively, alongside your fellow developers, to take joint ownership of the
app,and all its features.

WHO ARE YOU?

To make you and this company a perfect match, you'll need to demonstrate:

- 3-4 years' experience, developing applications for iOS.
- 1 year of commercial experience with Swift.
- Working knowledge of Objective-C.
- UNIT testing.
- Degree (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science or related, OR relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Planning, and fundamental Design Patterns.
- Core Animation / Core Graphics
- Evidence of at least one application, developed yourself, and uploaded (or ready to be
uploaded!) to the Apple Store.
