Group Warranty Manager (Permanent)

Helston Garages Group (Volvo division) have a newly created vacancy for a Group Warranty Manager to be part of the after sales teams within our dealerships across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

What will the role include?

• Facilitating effective and efficient processes that ensure the business is not exposed to stock or financial losses within our 5 dealerships across the south west
• Work within brand guidelines on warranty processing and submissions
• Ensure that there are adequate audit processes in place completing regular compliance checks/audits
• Preparing/presenting both internal and Volvo audit reports using a variety of tools and resources
• Provide staff support and training
• Be the main point of contact for branch warranty issues and for Volvo (UK)
• Developing the efficient, effective and consistent processing of all warranty claims
• Ensure that all branches pass the brand audits within acceptable tolerances
• Maintain management of branch invoicing and claims
• Assisting in arranging adequate holiday/sickness cover 
• Liaising with all Managers to maximise the profitability of their warranty budgets
• To ensure that effective product/stock recall procedures are in place
• Analysis of failures to return unused warranty job ordered parts in line with requirements to prevent repeat issues  
• Work with the Call Centre team to ensure all customers are contacted on recalls as necessary
• Progress all recalls to evolve and audit/monitor

Could this be the role for me?

Previous experience in warranty controls and best practice will be pre-requisite. The Group Warranty Manager will obviously be target driven and passionate about achieving your KPI’s and meeting budget. Prior experience as a motor trade Manager would be advantageous as this is a newly created role which requires the incumbent to ‘find their feet’ independently and quickly. Essentially, you will be articulate, have a positive and flexible attitude, be incredibly organised with a grasp of Kerridge or another DMS, IT literate and personable as you will need to build a solid rapport with co-workers, senior Management and brand representatives.
