We are a friendly Catholic school looking to appoint an enthusiastic KS2 Year 6 teacher for January 2020. The successful applicant will work as part of a team in a very supportive environment. This post would suit an NQT or an experienced teacher.

We are a happy and caring school. Pupils and staff work together to provide high quality inclusive education within the framework of the Catholic faith. We are looking for:

- a record of good classroom practice, particularly within KS2
- experience of supporting students with EAL
- high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- a passion to be part of making a difference in the lives of our students

The school is located close to the tube and has excellent links to the rest of London. It also benefits from being spread a across extensive grounds and is exceptionally well resourced.

OFSTED

  • Pupils' achieve well at all key stages. The pupils make good progress and achieve standards by the end of Year 6 that are above average in English and mathematics.
  • The quality of teaching is mostly good, with some examples of high quality teaching. Teachers' planning meets the needs of different groups of pupils and engage them well.
  • Governors, senior leaders and teachers are united in their vision for the school. They are ambitious for the pupils. They know the school's strengths and areas for development very well.
  • The headteacher and all leaders check the quality of teaching and learning rigorously to ensure that all teachers know their strengths and areas for development.
  • Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make good progress because of the very specific focus on developing their early language skills through targeted interventions. n
  • Pupils behave well in lessons and around the school and have positive attitudes to learning. Attendance has significantly improved and is above average. Pupils say they feel safe at the school.

The successful candidate will have:

- A recognised formal teaching qualification (B.Ed or PGCE)
- At least one years' experience in a similar teaching environment
- A team approach to teaching and learning.
