Vetting Officer (Contract)

Purpose

The West Midlands Police see expansion particular for police officer so far in 2019. Each new recruit is subject to the police vetting procedure which everyone joining the force will be expected to complete. As a vetting officer you will be tasked in processing the relevant documentation to ensure that the on-boarding process is as quick and easy for new recruits as possible

Duties: Perform the duties of a Vetting Officer including:

• receiving/scanning vetting documents
• creating vetting records
• researching individuals and addresses using WMP intel systems, PND and PNC
• updating vetting records
• low level decision making where no risk apparent

Essential Criteria:

• PND trained (does not need to hold current log in)
• PNC trained (does not need to hold current log in)
• Previous experience with intelligence systems (does not need to hold current log in)
• Previous intelligence or investigative experience

Desirable:

• Previous vetting experience
• Trained in WMP intel systems
