Destination Education is working alongside fantastic secondary schools within Romford who require cover supervisors for the New Year.
The school are looking for flexible/day to day staff which gives you the opportunity to full-fill your passion for education, whilst working around other commitments you may have.
There is also a vacancy for a full time cover supervisor to begin asap. This position will be running on a long term basis with the potential for the role to turn perm at the end of the academic year.
The main role of a cover supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set by an absent teacher and to keep the students in line with the school policies.
Cover supervisor roles offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain teaching and classroom experience before completing a PGCE.
Experience with tutoring is also recognised.
You will need to demonstrate that you have:
- experience of working with secondary aged children
- the ability to build good relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
- knowledge of the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4
- good reading, writing and numeracy skills
