Are you a highly experienced international sales manager or director, looking for a home based opportunity with adhoc overseas travel? Your primary focus will be the successful delivery of sales growth in South East Asia, where you will be developing and maximising a sales strategy that will see revenue growth and an over budget performance. You will need to have experience of exceeding sales targets, ideally within the education and technology sector within a business to business environment.

This is an 18 month maternity cover.
The salary is 40-45k per annum, depending on experience. There will be bonus payable for this job, which is currently circa £15,000 per annum uncapped.

Full benefits will be discussed during the interview process, however you will expect a good reward from this client.

As a sales director within this organisation, you will;
*Agree an appropriate sales budget with the sales director and set sales targets for teams accordingly, so that the budget is achieved overall
*Work with the sales and wider business to develop, and oversee the implementation of, effective sales strategies so that revenue and market share are maximised outside the UK and Ireland via a range of partners and clients
*Manage key external and internal relationships to best effect to drive growth, develop market position and facilitate innovation. These relationships include key training partners, government departments. channels. distributors and senior stake holders in the institute and L&D
*Manage all aspects of the international sales activity, in order to equip the international team to sell, and implement strategy, most effectively. This includes overseeing the provision of regular sales meetings, product and sales training and coaching,1-2-1s with the sales team, briefing the teams on sales model, pricing and other significant developments, and recruitment and/or development of a capable team to ensure effective implementation on the ground
*Continuous evaluation of the sales team progress and providing coaching, training and development to maximise performance and personal growth. Motivate and incentivise the team appropriately so that targets and optimal working styles are achieved.
*Take responsibility for sales forecasting for new and existing products and performance. Ensure monthly sales reporting is timely so that the business is kept informed about sales progress and market trends
*Represent the international division on projects critical to the business,such as development of new models, product or delivery platforms and the improvement of supply chain efficiencies or key business systems
*Maintain and develop your knowledge of and participation in industry developments and competitor activities in order to bring this information into the business and foster an outward-facing culture across the teams
*Take responsibility for owning and completing sales responses to relevant market tenders with appropriate support from Sales Director

Skill, attributes and experience required;
*Significant experience within a sales management or director position
*Experience in the IT Training and Examinations sector
*Experience in overseas countries; India and Sri Lanka are preferred but not essential
*Demonstrable track record of managing channel teams
*Demonstrable experience leading sales teams to driving double digit revenue growth
*Demonstrable experience of managing Channel sales operations
*Proven experience of leading and managing successful solution selling teams
*Proven experience in writing and winning invitation to tender processes
*Demonstrable sales experience of growing a Learning & Development and/or IT channel operation business
*Significant relevant industry experience

Due to the responsibilities of this position, you will need to have a willingness to travel according to business needs. You will be working from home and will have frequent off site visits to clients, partners and suppliers. You will at times be required to undertake international travel if the business requires it, therefore you will need to be in possession of a current passport You will also need to have a full UK driving licence. Due to the flexibility required for this opportunity, there will be some occasional out-of-hours work including weekends.
