Packaging Operator (Permanent)

Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Packaging Operator to join our client, a well established manufacturer based in Liverpool.

The purpose of the role is to package finished goods from the manufacturing process in line with company and industry standards, making it ready for dispatch.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, duties will include:

Prepare to start up, monitor, maintain, handover and complete / shutdown packaging plant and equipment according to standard operating procedures.

Pack, label, palatalise and quality inspect finished goods for dispatch in line with company standards.

Identify, investigate and resolve faults, breakdowns and deviations.

Maintain product quality and integrity.

Quality inspect packaged product for defects and report defects to supervisor in a timely manner.

Complete all documentation to the required standard.

Separate and dispose of by-products and waste according to company procedure.

Clean and prepare items of plant and equipment for maintenance.

Maintain area housekeeping standards.

Experience working in a similar packaging role within a manufacturing environment is essential. Exposure to hazardous substances and handling chemicals is seen as a benefit. Knowledge of COSHH regulations is also seen as a benefit.

Hours of work: 7:30am start. Average working week 39hrs
Salary: £19,300 pa
