We are currently looking to recruit a WSO (Works Supervisory Officer) For Pressurised Breathing Air Suit Operations, to be based at Aldermaston.

Temporary contract for 12 months starting April 2020.
The candidate shall have been or is trained in the use Pressurised Breathing Air Suits.
Have a minimum five years working knowledge of Pressurised Breathing Air Suit Operations.
Be fully conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Duties shall include but not limited to
Supervise employees under their control in order that all auditable daily records are kept.
Ensure that work is undertaken in accordance with the prescribed SSoW without deviation to the detailed SMoW.
Ensure that suitable Risk Assessments (including the Point of Work Risk Assessment) have been undertaken, prior to commencement of work, in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate, site specific Health, Safety and Environmental and Welfare Plan (HSEW Plan).
Ensure that employees are aware of and understand arising issues and sign onto relevant Method Statements, Implementation Plans, and Risk Assessments.
Communicate at all levels with labour under their control on any aspect of the Company's business, which may be appropriate.
Ensure work teams remain proactive throughout the working day and time keeping rules are observed.
Promote communications between those under their control and other groups on the site in order to ensure the site is working in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
Comply with rules/regulations permit systems and safety requirements in force on the specific site and to promote these disciplines in all of those under the Supervisor/Foreman's control.
Ensure that only Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) are set to work.
Ensure that appropriate Toolbox Talks are delivered at intervals as set out in CSG Safety Procedures
Record any problems encountered during the site works and notify the Cavendish Nuclear site Engineer in Charge of the details at the earliest opportunity
Assess the training and development needs of site personnel responsible to the Supervisor/Foreman and recommend appropriate action to the site Engineer in Charge.
The WSO may be assisted in the execution of these duties by a team of supervisory staff. The services of site establishment e.g. quality, safety, administration etc. will also be available of which full use should be made.

Candidates will ideally need to be DV cleared.
