We are now looking to recruit a Loader to join our East Wretham Collections Unit based in Thetford, working 48 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

Joining our team as a Loader, you will assist in the transport of waste material; including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying by hand or bodily force. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in the daily duties of collecting waste from customers’ sites
• Assist the LGV Driver acting as a banksman where any manoeuvring is undertaken
• To learn the routes allocated to the vehicle you are assigned to
• To assist the driver in keeping the vehicle clean and tidy up to Viridor standards
• Work in a safe manner at all times, reporting any incidents or near misses to the Logistics office in a timely manner

Our ideal Loader:

• Thorough knowledge of LGV vehicles
• Knowledge of working time regulations, drivers’ hours
• Good geographical knowledge of the Bristol area
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and flexible approach
• LGV licence and Driver CPC would be desirable
