Job Purpose:

To manage and take responsibility for establishing a new marketing team and implement the marketing and communications strategy supported by the Director of Marketing, to maximise the sales of our market leading technology solutions to UK intermediaries in financial services.

The role requires experience of a B2B market place and marketing flair. A 'doer' rather than a facilitator with an eye for detail, management experience and the drive and energy to make things happen. You must be confident in your abilities and enthused to produce the best possible output, with proven knowledge and experience in delivering successful campaigns and managing, establishing and developing a professional team. You will be keen to demonstrate your ability to create sales oriented and customer friendly campaigns and content to fulfil all communication needs.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team situated in a multi-million £ recently refurbished Croydon office. It is an exciting time for the company with new product innovations and company-wide strategic projects being applauded by the Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a newly established marketing department - team of 2-4
  • Primarily responsible for delivering and creating marketing campaigns and activity to support the sales strategy
  • Support and facilitate agreed company positioning in all internal and external communications
  • Take a proactive approach in improving constituent messaging and tone of voice to replicate the companys' internal persona of transparency whilst supporting the customer
  • Be able to deliver appropriate marketing communications taking into consideration multiple and diverse target customers
  • Lead by example and support a culture of only the best is good enough with attention to detail being key
  • Overseeing or creating or supporting pieces of work, not limited to; tenders, blogs, articles, press advertorials, award submissions, advertising and marketing campaigns, product launches, company presentations, marketing emails and all other marketing activity required by the company
  • Manage external advertising budgets, campaigns and content
  • Be able to interpret Google, our chosen ESP analytics and other management information with regular reporting on marketing activity vs. budgets and agreed targets

The Candidate:

  • Educated to UK graduate level or equivalent experience
  • A marketing related degree or professional marketing qualification such as a CIM or IDM diploma
  • 3 years or more experience in a B2B marketing role
  • Marketing experience within the finance sector is highly advantageous
  • Experience in managing a marketing team - essential
  • Delivery focused with high energy and drive, and ability to deliver
  • Credibility, professionalism and strong personal integrity
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with impact
  • Confidence with management information analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook essential. Better than good knowledge of Excel
