Technical Support Engineer (Marine) (Permanent)
An immediate vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer with solid Merchant Navy or similar large Marine Vessel background. Ideally with previous hands on Service/Repair experience. Office based in Dorset and salaried c40,000.

Build, supply, installation, service and repair of large marine plant and systems.
Role
You will work within a customer/technical support team, working closely with sea-going field engineers and customers.
Day to day the role will include being a point of contact for customers seeking post installation support. The nature of the enquiry can be anything from breakdowns, warranty issues or upgrading and optimisation of systems. You will use your fault-finding experience to provide a solution remotely. If this is not possible, you will arrange for a service engineer to attend site and ensure relevant parts/information is available.
You will work in a busy environment, which can be equally rewarding. There will be an initial requirement to travel on-board ships to familiarise yourself with equipment and plant. This will be less frequent as you gain product experience.
Candidate
The role is ideally suited to a sea-going engineer, who is looking for a shore-side role. Experience needs to be from Navy, Merchant Navy or potentially Super Yachts.
Ideally you will have experience in an office-based environment, good IT skills is a must.
You will work closely with sea-going engineers and customers, and so excellent communication skills is required.
Remuneration
Basic salary of c£40,000 + package
