Job Title: Management Accountant (Part Qualified)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: Starting £28,000 + study

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week - Monday to Friday)

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, in the role of Accountant you will be responsible for the monthly production of management accounts, KPI reporting and providing finance support to colleagues and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

You will need a good head for figures, as well as a sound grasp of financial systems and procedures.

Ideally suited to a self- motivated individual with an excellent work ethic who enjoys being a part of a small but busy and energetic team.

Main duties will include:

  • To manage, guide and support staff in their accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
  • Finance business partnering, working with and supporting other areas of the business
  • Weekly rolling forecasting and assist in the annual budgeting process
  • Preparation and review of the management accounts including journals, prepayments & accruals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working Capital Management and free cashflow planning and management
  • Accurate monthly financial and KPI Reporting to specific deadlines
  • Daily banking responsibilities including receipts, supplier payments and expenses control
  • Payroll Management, including prep & process, P11D
  • VAT Calculation / HMRC Submissions
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders and resource providers
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Instrumental to the continual development and improvement of internal systems
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • General ad-hoc duties as required

Key Requirements:

Essential

  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • Proficient in excel (pivot tables, V look ups, Sumifs)
  • Proven experience of producing management accounts
  • Cashflow Management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong Microsoft skills, with knowledge of finance systems
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Self-motivated, confident and assertive with the ability to work outside of comfort zone

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a similar level role
  • Previous working knowledge of MRP systems would be an advantage
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry
  • Staff management
