We now have an excellent opportunity for a Collections Coordinator to join our Trafford Park team working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?

As Collections Coordinator, you will competently supervise the Collections Team’s activities within Trafford Park’s collections operations, ensuring they are carried out in a safe, professional and economical manner. You will also have an aim to maximise your team’s collection rates, productivity and efficiency so that all objectives are met or exceeded. This will be undertaken in compliance with all legislative, statutory and company requirements.

A key skill of this role will be the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with the commercial team and Viridor customers, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. Additionally, the Collections Coordinator will monitor the operational and budgetary performance of the profit centre and report variances, recommending corrective actions as required.

The Collections Coordinator will liaise closely with the Collections Business Manager and assist in producing financial information for the production of monthly profit and loss accounts, as well as the accurate forecasting of site performance on a defined regular basis.

What do you need?

  • A proven track record of supervising a logistical operation successfully
  • Previous experience controlling fleet activities
  • Knowledge of road transport and relevant environmental legislation.
  • Knowledge of complex reports and KPIs, and how they are used within a logistics business.
  • Ability to route vehicles effectively taking into account profit and productivity
  • Full driving licence and full CPC in road transport
  • IOSH managing safely or equivalent
  • Good routing, logistic, administrative and clerical skills in a transport or related environment
  • Previous experience managing large teams
  • Experience of preparing month end reports
  • Proven ability to working within timescales and meeting deadlines
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial targets
