Basic Skills Training Instructor - Electronics (Permanent)

Job Role:

The post holder will be responsible for delivering Basic Skills Training (BST) in the Electronics & Electricity field at the Technical Institute for Naval Studies (TINS). In particular, BST Instructors are expected to teach the core skills, knowledge and attitude of relevant elements of the City & Guilds 2850-84 Level 2 qualifications.

The post holder is responsible for:

Delivering NTT Basic Skills Training curriculum,
Supporting invigilation activities for assessments,
Supporting remedial training activities,
Writing assessment materials,
Supporting the continuous improvement of courseware materials and media,
Writing cadet reports as required to meet customer requirements,
The post holder will be expected to operate to a standard of absolute integrity and professionalism.
The post holder will ensure the completion of any other reasonable request by their line manager, which aligns with Company business.

Essential:

The post holder must:
Hold a City & Guilds 2850-84 qualification
Be a graduate of an advanced military trade school or an industry equivalent

Have 3-years practical experience in one of the below:
Electricity Technician (Navigation)
Electricity Technician (Radar)
Fire Control Technician
Sonar Technician
Electricians Mate
Electronic Warfare
Gunners Mate
Information System Technician

Desirable:

The post holder should:
Have 1 year's recent instructional experience,
Have successfully completed an approved / accredited Instructional Techniques course.

Package Details:

Basic Salary - £39,628 per annum
Overseas allowance - £8,112 per annum
Pension Allowance - £3,566 per annum (9% of basic salary)
Travel Allowance - 30,000 SAR per annum (paid quarterly)
Gratuities - £6250 (Y2, Y3, Y4)
