The School:

A school I work with in the Wandsworth area, which provides education for boys from the ages of 5-19 years old with Social Emotional Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD), is seeking to appoint a specialist SEN Science Teacher. The school welcomes pupils from a very different levels of prior education, many of whom have been out of the classroom for a significant period of time before to being accepted into the school. This Wandsworth school aims to close the gaps in learning students

This Wandsworth school works closely with current and future students through working with schools, colleges, local authorities, adult care, and community health teams. Students are also given many opportunities to develop their life skills through regular off-site activities.

The Ideal SEN Secondary Science Teacher:

Applications are invited from Science SEN Teachers with experience of dealing with SEMHD pupils. The school is looking for an enthusiastic, personable individual capable of handling environments which may be hostile but in which Teaching Assistants will be on-hand to help at all times. You will be an SEN Teacher able to creatively plan and deliver the curriculum to pupils with SEMH difficulties. You will be tasked with monitoring pupils progress, with differing attainment levels, and be able to lead a team of teaching assistants in the classroom.
